Izzy's New Baby

Yesterday Izzy, Addie, and I were eating lunch at the University Mall and she saw a lady walk by with a baby and she said:
I: "I just saw a baby"
me: "Do you want your mom to have a baby?"
I: "Yeah, a baby girl"
me: "How about a baby boy?"
I: "NO!"
me: "What's going to be the baby's name?"
I: "Baby Rosa, because Rosa is a cute name."

Addie also says that Izzy asks her everyday if her brown eyes have changed color yet. She cracks me up. I love her little personality.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Bk and Brook - Halloween/Church

Bk and Brook before church last week. Looks like Bk finally got the black suit he always wanted.

Here is Brook at her Halloween birthday party in her batgirl costume. Cutest batgirl I ever saw.

April did a great job on the Barbie witch cake.

Brook getting ready to blow out her 4 candles. It's hard to believe she is 4 already.

Bk as Iron Man. Soon he will be Peter Parker when his glasses are ready. He recently had a vision test and they found he is farsighted. The glasses he picked, he said, were just like Spiderman.

Nate and Nicole Fawcett

This last Saturday, October 11, 2008, my good friend Nicole Lundberg of Logan, Utah, married Nate Fawcett of Hurricane, Utah. I was lucky enough to attend the sealing in the Logan temple. It was my first time to the Logan temple, and it was more beautiful than I imagined. It was snowing that morning, but I'm sure it made for some beautiful photos. This picture is at the luncheon afterwards. It was at a restaurant called "Hamiltons" in Logan. Very nice and the food was excellent. Those are three neices on Nathan's side of the family. Nicole and Nate's colors were rust orange and brown.

This is a picture during the luncheon of Anneliesa Hamisch (who came from Arizona with her fiancee, Scott) , the new bride Nicole, and I. There were a lot of people from our old BYU 129th ward there including our Bishop, Robert Sandstrom. It was a really fun and exciting event. The reception in Hurricane will be October 24th. I'm sure my parents will be the first ones there.

Broccoli Mash -- an English delight!

Sooooo, recently I took a trip to Europe (Paris, Bath, London, and Copenhagen), and while we were there we tried their famouse fish and chips.. which were delightful, and was served with mashy peas. For all you non-pea likers you are probably barfing, but in reality they were quite good. On the plane ride home Richard had broccoli mash with his plane ride meal. Again, good, and I can say, better. So I tried to find a recipe that you could try at home, and found this one that looks pretty good. Try it and let me know if I don't try it and let you know first. Appears to be only about 83 calories too.

Ingredients

Chicken Broth 1 cup (more or less)
1 pkg of frozen broccoli 16ounce (chopped)
4T light sour cream1
3 cup mashed potatoes flakes

*Simmer frozen broccoli in broth until tender. You should be able to mash with a fork. Add broth as needed to prevent burning. Place broccoli, sour cream, potato flakes in food proccessor. Pulse until smooth. May need to add extra broth if to dry. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Makes 4 servings.

*(The picture to the right is a year ago, and she is the blondie on the right with Nicole Lundberg on the left).
Anyway, we're here and hopefully will have some fun exciting, positive, and happy times to share with you!
