Be Mime Valentine

This year for Valentine's Day, Addie and some of her close friends had a Valentine's party for their girls. They made these cute little mailboxes for their Valentines and cute bead necklaces. Addie also made an adorable doily garland. As a treat the girls had chocolate fondue. Kt especially loved it.

I talked to Izzy on the phone yesterday, and she said she got tons of Valentines from school. So many that it filled her backpack full and made it look like a turtle shell.

I got this dazzling homemade Valentine (below) in the mail from my friend Brooke, who lives in DC. We've got a running inside joke about mime's, and so she made me a bunch of mime Valentine's for me. It is hilarious, and I absolutely love it. This is just one of 5 that she made.

For Christmas this year, Shaun suprised Addie with a craft room. He got up in the middle of the night to paint it pink, and hid everything from her until the big reveal. She loved it, and has spent some long hours in there already. It turned out really cute. Well done Shaun.

Can I say the prayer?

The best is when she's kneeling, and she's so chubby she can't hold herself up...
so she face plants it a lot. She thinks it's funny though.

Uh oh

Around the beginning of December I went in to get a couple tests done, which resulted in this:I had a "mass" next to one of my ovaries about the size of a golf ball. I'm not really sure what to call the "mass", because my doctor was calling it a tumor--and other times a fibroid. We'll just call it "the tumoid" (cue scary music). Tumoid could also be its celebrity name if the tumor and fibroid were dating. How 'bout that?!! Fer cute. Now, just to ease your minds, they were about 98% sure it was benign, and it was. Everything went super smooth. There was a possible risk of having an ovary removed, but the tumoid was sitting on the outside of my uterus which made the surgery smooth. Because it was major surgery (it was similar to a c-section), I had to stay overnight in the AF hospital and then spent 3 weeks at home recovering (no work, excercise, or driving). Mama Denise stayed in the hospital and then took care of me for a whole week. I don't know what I would have done w/o her. She was such a blessing, and very much appreciated.
In the hospital I was so tired I kept going cross eyed and then closing my eyes. During the night I asked my mom if she wanted to start loading up the car, and she said pretty matter-of-factly, "No!" It was then that I realized that did not make sense.
As of now (today), I'm feeling good. I got the green light to excercise, lift heavy objects, and everything else humans do. After 3 weeks I was able to drive (hallelujah) and go back to work.
